I’m back!
For those who missed the announcement about my move - I got a new job (woo hoo!), and took a break from blogging to move out of state.
I’m now all finished moving, (almost) done unpacking, and am now settling in at my new job as an instructional designer. (Standard disclaimer always applies - the stuff in this blog is mine, and not reflective of my employer, etc. etc. etc.)
I’ll be picking up the pace on the blog again with some link posts soon, and working in the near future on a few series posts I have in mind - such as finding a job in Ed Tech, instructional design (ID/ISD) basics, and a few other goodies. If you have anything else you’d like to see me cover - drop me a line in the comments!
Thanks for your patience, all!

In what’s been a whirlwind of a couple weeks, I interviewed and was offered (and am accepting!) a job in another state.
As we (my family and I) pack and move, I don’t envision myself having a ton of time for blogging.
I’ll try to keep going with the occasional del.icio.us link post, and get back to regular posting in about a month or so. (And, I’ll have some new insights for my series on finding an Ed Tech job!)
Thanks for your patience!

Calling on the wisdom of the crowd here - I would love to hear your comments (and I plan to summarize in a later post).
How did you find your first position in Ed Tech?
More specifically:
- Did you have a degree in Ed Tech, or a related field - or were you still pursuing your degree?
- Did you move laterally/get a promotion in a company/school you already worked for?
- Did you have “connections” somewhere, or did you apply out of the blue?
- Any other bits of wisdom for potential Ed Tech job seekers?
